I'm a retired school teacher experiencing my dream to live by the ocean and to be near my wonderful children.
There's times when I feel as though I've lived several lives all rolled into one and I feel fortunate indeed to have spent my Tom Sawyer-summers in New Brunswick with my grandparents, to have backpacked around Europe with a high school friend of 40 years, to have had the most amazing three children to share my life with, to have the dream of a baby sister come true at age 14 and to have her as a kindred spirit at age 58, to have shared my life with so many incredible animal companions, to have gardened with Mother Earth, to be able to count the other amazing teachers I've worked with as life-long friends, to be able to hold dear to my heart so many children I've had the privilege to teach and to be so thankful for the ability to laugh, play, sing (out of tune) and be merry. As my niece said of her mom and me, "Just because you grow old, doesn't mean you have to grow up!"
Gardening, reading, going to thrift/junk stores, sewing, walking the beach with Casper, visiting with my grown children, my little grandson and my sister, emailing friends and learning to blog!
