Time marches on...

February was another very busy month.  Two weeks ago, I spent four days helping my sister move into her new home.  After an agonizing few months, she was left with no choice but to find a place for herself and the three remaining kids still living with her.  The family is thrilled to pieces that she's heading out on a new path in life and was able to buy this home sweet home to call her own...

Three rental truck loads, much heavy lifting, heaving, hauling and moving things into place, she was ready to start anew.  Congratulations and more power to you, dear sis...

After a long wet winter, finally, purple shades of things to come.  Spring is just around the corner!

P.S. Thanks to my brother, Phil, and my dear sister-in-law, Janet, for the use of the great bird nests' bouquet in the snow.

That is the sweetest house! I hope that your sister has many, many happy years there. My mom is bailing herself out in Nova Scotia this weekend as the snow is melting faster than the ground can absorb it so her house is flooding. :-( That is when it is very hard living so far away. I wish so much I could be there to help her. Love the bird's nest bouquet and also the purple beauties!!! Spring is indeed just around the corner! XXOO

It's fitting that it's Spring - time for a new start in more ways than one.

Unfortunately for us down under it means autumn is just around the corner. Where oh where did the summer go?

It looks lovely, very cosy with all that wood - here's wishing her the very best of luck in her new life. :)

I've been reading your blog for ages, Barb. I noticed you've been among the missing for a while. Glad you are back. I enjoy your blog a lot. I live at the seashore too. In northern California.
Love your sister's new home. I know she will have many happy times there.
Welcome back!

What a house! I love that roof!

I love your sister's new house. It really is just what I am looking for. I was wondering if your sister had it made or if there is a development of homes like this somewhere. I would love to get more information about it.

Great blog.

Thanks!
